Data layer without database
Okay, we make the tools easier and designers run the development process but how about the database? The most important thing that boosts up the application development process in dsOffice is the flexible data layer. We created dsOffice lists which pretty much work like simple Microsoft Excel files.
dsOffice lists are elastic data structures working on top of the database layer. This way you do not need to know anything regarding databases, indexes, database normalization, table relations, SQL and CQL. The only thing you need to do is creating a list and connecting it to your UI with simple wizards.

dsOffice uses a hybrid data storage in its underlying system. We use SQL database (Ms SQL/PostgreSQL), No-SQL database (Apache Cassandra) and Cloud Storage. With the power of Cassandra and Cloud we can scale up to petabytes without any effort.

We provide wizards to support excel-to-list and list-to-excel conversions in dsOffice; although you can convert any tabular data to-and-from lists, our preferred format is JSON.

dsOffice uses LSH techniques in document analyses. In other words, hashes are extracted from documents and all the similarity analyses are run on hashes, not on real documents. This approach separates the critical data from their analyzers and provides enormous flexibility for data storage locations and methods.
